Early watercolours

Michael O’Connell painted water-colours in England before going to Australia and in his early years in Australia. Most of the paintings which we know about were given by him to his brother, Dr Pat O’Connell, and are now in the possession of his children, O’Connell’s nephews and nieces.

I find it fascinating how Michael’s early Australian paintings were preserved within his family.
